May 31 Practice Criterium

May 31, 2011
I have been having trouble with my camera stopping 30-40 minutes into a race.  I tried a new memory card, and it looks like it might have fixed the problem, i.e. the whole race recorded.
There were not a lot of guys racing tonight and it was windy (but warm).  The race got underway quickly and shattered. Here is why it shattered? Starting in the second lap, I had the following wattage peaks for the race:

1 min 537 Watts
5 min 381
10 min 339
20 min 317

There were about 6-8 guys in the lead group towards the end and most of them were my teammates.  I think everyone was on the edge but we just kept attacking and upping the pace.  I took a “Practice Free” lap with about 7 to go after I took a pull before the uphill into the headwind.  As I was moving to the back into the rotation, I was going up the hill and into the wind, and I was already on the edge so I got dropped towards the top of the rise.
Below is the power file with Yellow power lines at 300 and 1000 watts.  The red line is HR at 150.
