Coaching

I mainly coach men USCF cat 3, 4, 5 or masters racers that are serious about criterium racing and willing to train hard.  I focus on this group because I have the knowledge and skills to help you succeed.   I wish that I had someone who could have helped me through the ranks.  Instead I learned by trial and mostly error.  With my help, you will be successful and you will get better faster than you can on your own – guaranteed.   There is a waiting list.  I’m more motivated to coach riders who are themselves motivated.  The rank order of my waiting list is somewhat dependent upon your interests.  Please e-mail me at stevebikesfast@gmail.com if you want to get on the waiting list.

Benefits of Criterium Coaching:

  • Personal interview to understand your goals, strengths, weaknesses, time available for training, key events, tactical skills, criterium skills, and history.

Requirements for Criterium Coaching

  • You need to have a power meter and the ability upload it to trainingpeaks.com.  If you don’t, I might consider you, but you will have a hard time proving to me that you are working out hard enough.        
  • You better be ready to work hard during your workouts and push yourself to the limit during races.  I will drop you if you are not doing the workouts or listening to my advice.
  • You need to racing bike and USCF license, and doctor’s release.
